Dear brothers,
this liturgical congregation is a prelude to the Easter of our Lord, and we are preparing to it with penance and with charity acts since the lent time

Above the Bishop Oscar Cantoni’s beginning words in his Easter Speech during the Palm Sunday. These words help us to find the deep meaning of these unique days of the liturgical year.

What is the belief that guide us? what is the desire that we have in our hearts? What are the hopes about this Ester, that it is the first that the Bishop Oscar spent with us in the Cathedral?

When the shadows of the night come on the Earth, it turn on the stars in the sky. This is the daily miracle of Nature that invite us to do not lose the faith.

This is the same message, that our Cathedral silently inspire us, with its Gothic vaults, with gold and blue colors and designed with Saint’s faces. During the Novena of the Assumption, whom the Cathedral is dedicated, it is organized some contemplation moments, thanks to music and a special light atmosphere to emphasize this massage of faith, all this to create a metaphorical “music firmament” below the lit vaults.

Memoria Cathedralis” it’s the title of some events carried out in Como each year for the Dedication of the Cathedral. The anniversary will be celebrated on 13th May with The Pontificale – High Mass at 09.00 pm.

Thanks these evens, it will be possible to know better some aspetcs of the history of the Cathedral. You can appreciate the rich artistic and musician heritage too.

The conferences will be in Italian language. A concert On 3th June at 09.00 pm with music by Sisto Reina (1623 ca – 1664 ca).
