Dear brothers,
this liturgical congregation is a prelude to the Easter of our Lord, and we are preparing to it with penance and with charity acts since the lent time

Above the Bishop Oscar Cantoni’s beginning words in his Easter Speech during the Palm Sunday. These words help us to find the deep meaning of these unique days of the liturgical year.

What is the belief that guide us? what is the desire that we have in our hearts? What are the hopes about this Ester, that it is the first that the Bishop Oscar spent with us in the Cathedral?

When the shadows of the night come on the Earth, it turn on the stars in the sky. This is the daily miracle of Nature that invite us to do not lose the faith.

This is the same message, that our Cathedral silently inspire us, with its Gothic vaults, with gold and blue colors and designed with Saint’s faces. During the Novena of the Assumption, whom the Cathedral is dedicated, it is organized some contemplation moments, thanks to music and a special light atmosphere to emphasize this massage of faith, all this to create a metaphorical “music firmament” below the lit vaults.

The objective of the Lenten time is to achieve to the Easter Mistery with a pure heart, we’ll live deeply the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of our Holy Lord.

Thursday Maundy there will be the end of Lent time. At. 10.00 a.m. the celebration of the Chrism Mass, the Bishop blesses the Holy Oils. In the evening at 08.30 p.m. it will be celebrated the Holy Mass in the Last Supper.

Good Friday, a day of fasting and abstinence, at 08.30 p.m. there will be the celebration of Holy Lord’s Passion

Holy Saturday, at 09.00 p.m. in the churchyard It will begin the vigil in the Holy Night.
