LA CATTEDRALE SUL LAGO

The Como Cathedral music Chapel was founded in 1637. It provides the music animation of the Cathedral both for liturgical and cultural events. Its seat is at n° 3 via Grimoldi, at the Bishop’s palace.

It consists of a polyphonic choir and a group of organists and chant animators at the Sunday Masses.

At the moment the music Chapel is directed by Mons. Saverio Xeres, chapel master, helped by Maestro Lorenzo Pestuggia, regular organist and archivist.

The choir takes part in the main celebrations of the liturgical Year, particularly when the bishop is present.

The choir practices once a week on Friday evening from 8.30 to 10.30 p.m.

The archives can be consulted by appointment.
